01:30:05

01:30:16
Where is the handbook available? Thanks!

01:30:25
How early can kindergarteners be dropped off?

01:30:54
On Minimum days and early release Tuesdays will aftercare start earlier?

01:31:38
Hi Matthew - it’s on the school homepage - lower right link

01:31:46
Do you have info on after school?

01:32:11
https://www.thirdstreetschool.com/

01:32:27
@Simon aftercare will start early on Tuesdays

01:34:28

01:39:28
What if the child has covid?

01:39:29
I am concerned that when kids get inevitable sniffles and coughs they should stayhome per Covid guidelines…. How will runny noses noses be allowed?

01:40:39
Thanks so much for the info. Can you share what the protocol will be if any student. staff, or faculty tests positive for COVID? When and how will the school community be notified?

01:42:06
who welcome the kids at the drop off?

01:42:22
If someone gets COVID and class has to quarantine, what happens under quarantine? Is there class instruction (remote) or is there no class? Also, what if a student is "exposed" and needs to quarantine - what does that individual student do for instruction?

01:42:41
If you have kids in different grades do we have to walk each child to each listed entrance or can we drop them all off at one location?

01:43:24
Current CDC recommendation for being in contact with someone with covid is 14 days of quarantine. How will this effects children’s attendance? Will they have the opportunity to join zoom class during quarantine with out effecting attendance?

01:43:59
When are parents informed of who their child’s teacher is?

01:44:05
I’m concerned that positive Covid cases in LA are double what they were last year at this time. Yet, this doesn’t seem to be addressed by LAUSD.

01:44:59
Hello! We are a new family at 3rd Street. Will there be signs/indications on which gate on Las Palmas is A or B?

01:45:46
Can we show the QR code from the car at dropoff?

01:45:47
Hi Esther, Welcome! Yes, the entrances are well marked.

Got it. Thank You.

01:59:02
Just called the school and for new students, we need to first day of school to receive our parent pin

01:59:56
@hanna, but we can’t access daily pass without a parent pin

02:00:28
Whoever I spoke to said that we’d need to wait until the first day

02:00:39
If you need your PIN, please call the school

02:00:43
I had called inquiring about the parent pin and id#

02:00:46
Hey guys: for assistance with Parent Portal, I found it useful to call LD West: (310) 914-2124—was able to get my incoming daughter’s kindergarten ID and new pins for both my kids, and for both my husband and my Parent Portal account.

02:00:54
please explain about pick up. and If you have more than two more kids

02:01:02
The school gave me mine when I called. Maybe they are just overwhelmed right now.

02:02:07
Would we be able to get copies of the slides if we have to leave the meeting early?

02:02:14
please explain about online program options as well

02:02:23
I just called to the school asking parent pin for new student, but couldn’t get it. She said only available after school starts.

02:13:56
@Sandy - Daniel said only PAL, and ETK, TK, and K parents could accompany students to the class

02:14:21
@Sandy - And the day camp? Students with special education requirements

02:15:51
Will Beyond the Bell remain inside all of the time? Will it return to more outside play?

02:16:24
Actually this is a question in general: if kids are masked, will they be allowed to, you know, kick a ball, throw a ball, play with each other outside, not be standing in a 6 foot square, etc?

02:17:02
Another important source of communication comes from Room Reps (parent volunteers in each classroom that support the teacher and PTA/FOT) please consider volunteering - it’s not a big time commitment and you will be in-the-know!

Will the kids be 3ft apart in class?

02:35:15
Are desks spaced out like last year, how many kids in a class?

02:35:24
what is the lunch plan?

02:35:45
If we aren’t available to take the baseline test before school, can we get another pcr teat and show those results

02:36:02
Are staff tested weekly even if they’re vaccinated?

02:36:15
Liz—Yes, you can get a PCR test at any drug store (Walgreens, etc.) and upload the results.

02:36:30
P G - EVERYONE at LAUSD getting tested weekly, vaxxed or not.

02:36:41
Amplifying Liz’s question about getting another PCR test as our baseline, not provided by LAUSD.

02:36:43
I highly recommend to be tested in the district.

02:36:50
It helps with generating daily pass.

02:37:08
Thanks Maya!

02:37:47
We are unfortunately going to be out of town entirely in the days leading up to school—we will be getting the kids tested at a drugstore and provide the results, both uploading them and bringing hard copies for the first day.

02:39:09
Cold season is rampant and prob continue through school year. If kids test negative for covid but have some sniffles will they have to stay home?

02:39:30
Were the LAUSD covid guidelines created BEFORE DELTA?

02:40:30
Want to boost the following I just received as DM: if you need to get a non-district PCR test—please complete and submit at least 3 DAYS IN ADVANCE.

02:46:09
Someone wrote earlier that she called 3rd st to get a student ID but was told she couldn’t get it til school started… please advise.

02:46:25
Can you bring any Lausd student to the on-site testing?

02:46:28

How can we find out what kind of food is being offered at breakfast/lunch? What time is breakfast served?

02:48:08
Will be weekly covid testing done during the school day?

02:48:21
If a child tests positive - is the whole class quarantined - and if so, for how long…14 days?

02:48:40
What date will the weekly testing begin?

02:49:10
if they stay home because of the sniffles, can we arrange independent study program from the teacher?

02:49:16
I took kinder sibling to get tested at school but he is not entered in parent portal for daily pass yet. How do I get his info? When will his info be entered in daily pass so I can view his test results and get pass?

02:49:24
Will instruction continue to utilize Google classroom and other tech - and if so, will school iPads be issued?

02:50:09
When will we know assigned teacher?

02:50:44
For the testing on Thursday is it only for students that attend third street or for lausd students?

02:51:37
What is the best way to get my child’s id #? She’s brand new to LAUSD, so I don’t have an old report card.

02:51:45
@elvia - any LAUSD student or staff members

02:53:51
I know it is a random question not relevant to what we are currently talking about. But how do we know which teacher our kids are assigned to? when you get a chance, thank you.

02:54:33
We will have new Third Street swag at the event!

02:55:01
Yes, when do we find out our teachers?

02:55:26
The turnaround is still less than 24 hrs

02:55:29
I got results already from yesterday's test too.

02:56:32
Will the kids have their teacher and room assignments before the 14th?

02:56:41
I just typed the RSVP link for the 8/14 but it came up with an error. I just tried the link above and also got an error.

02:56:57
For families unable to attend on that day, will the children have a tour of the school on the 1st day?

02:57:04

03:00:52
How do I find my student’s ID? I’m a new student parent.

03:01:11
How do we get a blackboard connect username?

03:01:20
call the school to get the student ID. it is just a number. not a physical ID card.

03:01:25
Do you plan to stagger lunch times as some other LAUSD school like Wonderland is planning to?

03:13:45
sorry If i missed the info- but can kids play in play ground?

03:14:04
there's not much on the parental handbook about the early education program for the kids with special needs. is there a special handbook for that?

03:14:13
also will this video able to be reviewed again and posted on website?

03:14:13
I did get the baseline test...

03:14:23
When will the back to school breakfast happen? Apologies if I missed the date.

03:14:28
Sorry not to be obsessed with lunch but will kids be socially distanced when they eat?

03:14:33
Where do I link? I am able to get the other child's results

03:15:07
Allison, Principal Kim said that tables will be limited to six kids per table, in order to promote distancing.

03:15:19
What date will begin the onsite weekly testing?

03:15:20
If you get a covid baseline pcr test elsewhere, how do you upload it?

03:15:25
The exposure management doc is dated May 26 - before Delta. If there is an updated doc post-Delta, it would be appreciated.

03:15:40
How can we access our student’s covid test results if we can’t get a PIN until school starts?

03:16:37
https://bit.ly/3rdstbacktoschoolkickoff

03:21:09
YES I have the same question, how do we get our parent pin

03:21:31
If you get a baseline test outside of LAUSD, how can you upload it?

03:21:33
YES, me too! I have the same question, how do we get our parent pin

03:21:34
how to get the parent pin number?

03:22:25
(213) 443-1300 Community Engagement

03:22:28
I have heard of sites running out of testing kits and that walk ins are at risk of not getting it on that same day

03:23:08
But how do we see the results?

03:23:26
I was able to register my ETK child for Covid testing with just the ID number (even if I didn’t have my parent pin yet to add him to my parent portal account)

03:24:52
The results will be available on the parent portal, I’m sure it will be treated as if you got a test from a 3rd party and can present it at the school entrance in lieu of a parent pass

03:24:53
They had our name on a printed sheet when we went for testing at Third Street.

03:25:05
yes, we won't be able to do the daily pass w/the parent pin

03:26:58
for assistance with Parent Portal, I found it useful to call LD West: (310) 914-2124—was able to get my incoming daughter’s kindergarten ID and new pins for both my kids, and for both my husband and my Parent Portal account.

03:27:04
For returning parents, the student ID number is on the report card. There was a second piece of paper with our report card and I think that paper had parent and student PIN numbers on it. Last year, LAUSD had a tech support number where they reset our pin and set us up.

03:27:46

03:28:19
Yes, exactly!

03:28:24
That's the problem I'm having

03:28:50
Yes

03:29:17
We tested with an Urgent Care

03:29:51
Can someone put that # in the chat again with a note that that’s a way to get the PIN?

03:31:03
Is there no plan to send us the PIN in a letter?

03:31:25
(Copied from Helen Lee) for assistance with Parent Portal, I found it useful to call LD West: (310) 914-2124

03:32:42
Just to clarify, (310) 914-2124, is the # Temuulen’s mother called and waited for support and eventually got the PIN? Thanks!

03:33:12
if my child is new to lausd, how can I access the student id?

03:38:54
How can I know a name of teacher of child?

03:39:00
But why aren't we receiving letters with new student info?

03:39:08
Thanks!

03:39:08
It goes to voicemail

03:39:13
Been calling it

03:39:24
The PIN and the student ID number

03:39:35
Ah, OK

03:41:21
